user profile synchronization service is stopped again when i start

HI

user profile syncronization service is stopped again when i start, 

how i solve this issue.

the spfarm user has local adminstrator and has allow login rights in local security policys.

Check this:

1. Make sure Farm account have a local profile in the server. (if not log in with farm account once and log off)

2. When you added Farm account to local admin group, the permissions are not reflected until you log off and log in back.

After performing above tasks give a it a try.

Hi Adil,

I recommend check if the Forefront Identity Manager Service is started first in SharePoint server.

Please go to Start > Administrative Tools > Services > Forefront Identity Manager Service.

If it is stopped, please start it. And then restart the User Profile Synchronization Service in Central Administration to see if the issue still occurs.

        Ensure to restart the user profile service and synchronization service
        Ensure to restart the FIM services
        Ensure to do IISReset after the services starts
        Ensure to reboot the server
        Ensure to have the available space on DB server and SP server

Hi Adil,

Was there any error when you restarted the Forefront Identity Manager Service?

Please make sure that the Forefront Identity Manager Synchronization Service is started before restarting the Forefront Identity Manager Service.

Hello, 

I am having the same issue as the OP. When I try to start the UPS it says it is starting and then reverts back to stopped automatically.

I went to try and start the FIMSS first but it gives me an error: "The FIMSS service terminated with service-specific error %%-2146234334"

The overall problem I am having is when I try to click on a user's profile, it brings me to a 404 error. 

When I try to go to my user profile, i can get to the main profile page, but when I try to edit my profile or go to about me, it will bring up a 404 error as well. I am also unable to upload any user profile pictures to any account.
