Yes, finally after 4hrs it gave the error saying trasaction log is full. Later i incresed the trans log for the databsae. Now, i am getting 'Object reference not set to an instance..' error. Well, since nothing was working, i had to wipe the wss 3.0 and rebuild the site again. I am anyways in touch with Microsoft PFE. Will let post the answer if they give me any soln for this.

Hi, Thanks to share your post. From my point of view, the case may be that you didn’t create a main portal site through the SharePoint Server. You’d better create a main portal site. Another links might also give you a hand: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/maximeb/archive/2008/06/17/content-deployment-and-object-reference-not-set-to-an-instance.aspx http://yagyashree.wordpress.com/event-id-8214-object-reference-not-set-to-an-instance-of-an-object/ http://forums.aspfree.com/net-development-11/common-causes-of-object-reference-not-set-to-an-instance-45799.html. Hope this would help you! Leo
