package is running successfully but job fails im getting the following error if i save the package as do not save as sensitive.im getting the following error..pls help! Source: Package Connection manager "FTP Connection Manager" Description: An error occurred in the requested FTP operation. Detailed error description: The password was not allowed . End Error Error: 2012-05-07 09:53:44.11 Code: 0xC002918F Source: Transfer from server1 to carsqlServer FTP Task Description: Unable to connect to FTP server using "FTP Connection Manager". End Error DTExec: The package execution returned DTSER_FAILURE (1). Started: 9:53:43 AM Finished: 9:53:44 AM Elapsed: 0.998 seconds. The package execution failed. The step failed. if i save it as Encrypt sensitive data with password.i get the following error Description: Failed to decrypt an encrypted XML node because the password was not specified or not correct. Package load will attempt to continue without the encrypted information. If you run with Encrypt sensitive with password then you probably failed to provide the password, this is why it fails. I suggest, if you plan on running this job using the SQL Agent, then you better off choosing the RelyOnServerStorage security option and follow: http://www.codeproject.com/KB/aspnet/Schedule__Run__SSIS__DTS.aspxArthur My Blog

Thanks AuthurZ but i dont find these roles in my database. i find it only in MSDB database.do i need to select my database to which i am sending data as well as tMSDB database? database: you make sure to include SQLAgentUserRole, SQLAgentReaderRole, SQLAgentOperatorRole Then click OK akhila

Nah, SA is a database engine built in account, Proxy must be domain based account one. Make sure it is the Windows Domain based account. Thing is most times, especially when running SSIS packages, the file system gets accessed (even though you do not work with files in a package directly). So the account must have at least basic rights over the local file system.Arthur My Blog
