In Lenovo 32 bit Windows 7 (Lenovo engineering W510) machine When we try to create a Word doc in Sharepoint, it fails.

Also explain exactly what you mean by "create a Word document in SharePoint". Do you mean using the New option when in a document library where the default template is a Word template ? If so which Word template (i.e. for which version of Word) ? Please also tell us which SharePoint product you are using ? To add to Mike's questions: What version of Internet Explorer? Also, is it specificaly that computer? Is it working ok on every other workstation?

Are you an internal user or an external user? That is, do you use a login page to get into SP? Is the login different from the password you use to log into your computer? If you log into SP with a different account, there may be a conflict. We ran into similar issues but I'm a bit rusty on whether it was resolved or we just told users to create documents from their own MSOffice and then upload. IIRC, Office recognizes the machine login, and can create conflicts when you're not using PassThrough Authentication or similar.

Sorry machine was in domain itself and also user was using her account itself. What I am looking is any specific registry entries that needs to be done in Lenevo laptops because User is not able to perform the new document action from the SharePoint document library. Although Reinstall of ofice was done.
