trouble with e-mail notifications
hi there. okay, so i read this , but apparently it never got resolved. my situation is similar, but just slightly different. i've made sure to follow these instructions , without luck. sce was originally configured by a contractor. he set himself up as (at the time) the only notification recipient. well, he's gone now and sce is mine. so, i set myself and my boss as notification recipients as well. but neither of ours' works. however, if i go into the contractor's original notification settings, and change his e-mail address to mine, i get them just fine. i have checked and rechecked all settings in the recipient's section, but i think maybe i'm missing something in maybe the run as accounts or run as profiles section. i've looked through those sections, but don't see anything relevant. it's probably some stupid thing i missed, like it always is. thx in advance for any help!

Hi, Did you create a Runas account and Runas profile for your account? If not, please try the following steps to create it: 1. In SCE console, go to Administration space. 2. Create a new Runas account. 3. Select the type as "Windows account". 4. Configure the username and password (use your domain administrator account). 5. Choose "notification account" in Runas Profile. click Runas account tab. 6. Click new and add the account you created in above steps. 7. Create new recipient.

okay, thx. then what? i already have myself configured in administration>notifications>recipients, but that has never worked. do i need to do anything there? thx again! edit: okay, i think i got it. it's not enough to have a recipient defined. you have to set up that recipient with a subscription, right! i finally think i've figured it out. thanks for all your help, eric!! and please let me know if i'm correct in this.
