trigger downloading packages to client cache
Hi, i'm using SCCM for OSD. I want to use the advertisement option Download all content locally before starting task sequence to let clients download the image and packages. I use a mandatory assignment in the future to let the clients already download the image and alle referenced packages in advance mainly to take advantage of BITS. I changed the cache size on the client to fit all packages and the image. In some way i can get the client to download all packages and the image but for a second time after i cleared the cache i'm not able to force the client to re-download the content. I tried adding another assignment, configured Always re-run program, but unfortunatly no success. Is there a way, vbs, wmi, or other to force downloading packages for a specific program (task sequence) to the client cache? I searched the registry for the program id. Like execution history, is there something like download history or something? Thanks in advance! dutch guy

just found out that only a new advertisement of the same task sequence will do the trick :-) [edit] i also changed the configuration of iis to exclude blocking downloads of .config files because the MDT files package contain such a file :-S.
