Hey Here is what works for me on 250 MB files which I consider large in sharepoint: 1.increase the upload limit in sharepoint central admin->webapplication general settings. 2. At web.config, save the existing file as a backup and then make the following change to httpRuntime in system.web section: you need to increase the upload limit to match the value in central admin and then add the execution timeout to allow more time before it times out. the line should look like: <httpRuntime executionTimeout="300" maxRequestLength="256000"/> This should work. 300 gives you 5 minutes as execution time out and 256000 allows uploading 250 MB files. Thanks! I LOVE MS..... Thanks and Regards, Kshitiz (Posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.)

What is the antivirus you are using? Is this Microsoft Forefront? I am not sure but believe that you might have to configure it as well for the settings.I LOVE MS..... Thanks and Regards, Kshitiz (Posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.)

Hi, A good approach for this could have been a Windows based application (installed on your user's machine) which consumes a custom-built SharePoint Upload webservice asynchronously. This would have taken care of the timeout issue as the uploads would have started in a thread and would have given a response once completed.. Wael_e, Have you got a solution to your problem so far?? If not, try increasing your default chunk size of large files by trying this STSADM command: Stsadm.exe –o setproperty –pn large–file–chunk–size –pv <size in bytes> For more information, check this related discussion: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/sharepointadmin/thread/5c9c12ae-68e0-4cfb-9ee9-9d699dec524eBR, PM
