Might be a stupid question/answer.. You have not by any chance mounted that wimfile, because that would cause that exact message..Michaelhttp://kongkuba1.spaces.live.com

noi have tried adding the same wim files that are already imported.i have also re-captured new wim files and tried to add themi have tried to reload the image of an existing operating system image and that doesn't work either.i am also unable to add more wim files for boot images.it seems as though the server doesn't recognise Wim files or something...

sounds like your permissions are wrong so. verify that the network permissions are correct, check event viewer and see are there any failures for accessing that file, server 2008 will show the errors, server 2003 will have to be configured somy SCCM step by step Guides > http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1064

can you test with a new WIM file please, it's failing in two separate network locations which either means network permissions are bad or wim is bad, or bothmy SCCM step by step Guides > http://www.windows-noob.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=1064

I have fixed the issues!!I contacted MS, and the first thing they told me was to try mounting the image to make sure the WIM files were valid----- Yes they were.then they told me to install the WAIK latest version.I uninstalled the Kit and reinstalled the latest and bingo bongo boingo!!works again.excellent!!thanks Microsoft

I am having similer issues. Win 2003 SP2 - SCCM2007 SP2 R2 single site with MDT2010 intergrated but can not get a MDT2010 TS Captured WIM to import into SCCM OS Images "Invalid WIM". allso i tried to mount the MDT WIM image without luck (Invalid Image). however a SCCM TS will Capture and I can Import it into OS Images. it seems like something is amiss with MDT or WAIK possibly.
