When creating a task sequence to install an OS, you need to select the correct chip architecture. What if I want to install 32 bit windows on a 64 bit machine. Will selecting x64 boot image and a x32 image cause any problems?

You can't apply a x86 image from a x64 boot image. You need to use a x86 boot image with a x86 image.

You can always use an x86 boot for applying an x86 and x64 wim. Exception: UEFI BIOS machines.
