Hello Challen, Thank you for the reply. I tried changing it, but it is not working. when I select something in dropdown, it is going back to the same dataset, it is not changing. Do I need to do anything else to make it work? Thank you for your time. Thank you,Sammie

I did not use precisely table inside a table, but I used a subreport inside a table. Hope this helps. Thank you,Sammie

Could you please drag the table outside the other table? then I think you can change its dataset, if it still does not work, please delete it and then recreate a table again, after you complete the table's design, then put the table in the other table. Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help and unmark them if they provide no help.

Hi Sammie, This is possible in reporting services, if you want to change embedded table's dataset, I would recommend you select the tablix's name in the properties dropdown list, then you can find DataSet property, then you can change it to other dataset, of course, you can make use of subreport, which will have a better performance. Thanks, Challen FuPlease remember to mark the replies as answers if they help and unmark them if they provide no help.

Hello Challen, Thank you for the advice. Still it is showing same behavior. When I drag it outside, it is able to access the other dataset but not when inside the other table. I tried recreating other table also. It did the same thing. Thank you for your time Challen. Thank you,Sammie
