Hello!
Are the DNS configurations ok for the servers in the state "Not monitored"?
See this thread:

Hi,
The ones that show Not monitored in the state tab might be computers discovered through an agent with the proxy enabled. In many cases these are machines that belong to a cluster, or domain controlers in another site.
For the not monitored in the Windows Operating System tab: please make sure the relevant MP for that OS is up to date. Otherwise check out this this KB article:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/979387
Hope this helps,

Hi
If they are domain controllers then make sure you have run HSLockdown to allow the agent to function.

Hi,
Regarding the “Not Monitored” issue, please try the methods below:
Getting headaches trying to figure out why you are seeing the 'Not Monitored' state for Management Servers or Agents?
http://blogs.technet.com/b/momteam/archive/2008/03/10/getting-headaches-trying-to-figure-out-why-you-are-seeing-the-not-monitored-state-for-management-servers-or-agents.aspx
Fixing troubled agents
http://blogs.technet.com/b/kevinholman/archive/2009/10/01/fixing-troubled-agents.aspx
I also noticed some computers are gray; please also check the issue referring to the following Knowledge Base article:
Troubleshooting gray agent states in System Center Operations Manager 2007 and System Center Essentials
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2288515
If the issue persists, please check the Event Log on the management server and the problematic agents; if there are any related errors, please let us know the details.
Hope this helps.
