ssrs 2005_How to have field value change after multiple page breaks
My apologies upfront for the long message.
I am using SSRS 2005 to generate reports.
A client wants their reports delivered in Excel which is no problem. However,
I needed to group on the field "TabID" and have a page break so that with each
change in "Group Name", a new Excel worksheet is populated. My problem is that
I need the "TabID to change with each group/worksheet change. A field in not
allowed in my header to repeat on each new page, so I added rows to my table
to repeat. I there a way to make the 'TabID' recognize the new page and group
change to reflect the correct name?
My page header only contains the company logo but the table is like this:
My grouping is on =Fields!TabName.Value with Include/repeat group header and
Page Break at end checked off. Sorting is on the first four columns.
These are the repeated rows I get matter which GroupName's worksheet I view.
NAABC (the TabName)

Hi Wanda,
From your description, do you mean that page breaks are added to the "GroupName" group and the "TabID" on the first row of the table to display the correct data on each page according to the "Group Name"? If so, you can achieve your goal by adding a List
control to the report. Please refer to the steps below:
Drag a List control to the Design surface. Click the list, right-click on the upper right corner of the list to open the Tablix Properties pane. Set the DataSet Name: to the proper dataset.Click the list, open the Group Properties dialog from the Grouping pane. Click Add, and select [GroupName] in the drop-down list.Drag the table to the list, drag a textbox control to the list above the table, and then drag the "TabID" field to the textbox.

If I have something misunderstood, please feel free to correct me and post the screenshot of the issue. BTW, we can insert no more than two pictures to one post.
