sound card issue
i am looking to verify in smsts.log file about audio driver entries. since i did not find any entries i am not sure how to fix this

yes i checked in device manager. now looking for troubleshooting steps like capturing log files

Troubleshooting doesn't always mean you NEED to look at log files. What if the audio driver was never there in the driver package? or there was no driver package in the Task Sequence? You will not see anything in log files in these 2 cases. You need to start from bottom up. Make sure that the driver is in place in driver package, and that correct package has been added to the Task Sequence. Also, if driver is there in the package, i would manually try to install the driver and see if OS recognized the driver and audio is working fine with manual installation or not.

Windows XP machine migrated into Win7 but sound card is not working. no entry registered Smsts.log. How to troubleshoot or find out where is the problem
