Hi; I've got sccm 2007 r3 on windows server 2008 r2 and my database server is sql server 2008 r2 on other server.First i installed my test clients(one windows 7 and one windows xp) and than i installed client agents. i didnt have any problem. After that i enabled client push installation, dont have any problem about intallated client agent. But software and hardware inventory doesnt work... now i've many warning messages in component status-SMS_SOFTWARE_INVENTORY_PROCESSOR wich are Message id:3701 and 3703 Message id:3701 SMS Software Inventory Processor failed to process software inventory file "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Configuration Manager\inboxes\auth\sinv.box\SIPPFO46.SID," and has moved it to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Configuration Manager\inboxes\sinv.box\BADSinv\ei6hoihc.SID." Possible cause: The file attempted to update inventory information in the SMS site database that does not already exist, or the file contains invalid syntax. Solution: The client inventory needs to be resynchronized, which will be done automatically. Look for the subsequent message 3703, which indicates the resynchronization has begun. Message id:3703 SMS Software Inventory Processor requested a resynchronization for machine "YKE-ESN-110-L" because an attempt was made to update inventory information in the SMS site database that does not already exist. Do you have any idea?? Thanks..MCT

Hi Onder, Is there any problem for MP? Check the MP_Sinv.log under SMS_CCM\Logs folder and InventoryAgent.log and Sinvproc.log for any errors. Inventory files who are not being laoded will be loaded later. From the description we can see that resync process has been requested. Clients will eventually report a full inventory and be visible in the console. For what's going on to check: http://agerlund.spaces.live.com/blog/cns!3A51A2B50B5C1F51!666.entry About MP rejection please check: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/configmgrgeneral/thread/9c3fcddc-3740-4702-987d-18d8553a6baa Hope this will help. Thanks
