When I use shortcuts on a document library, I got :

Alt + N - New: Add a document opens (?)
Alt + E - Edit : nothing (?)
Alt + U - Upload: Add a document opens
Alt + M - Manage : More opens
Alt + S - Share : Share opens
Alt + Y - Synchronization : nothing (?)

Office 2013 is installed on my client.

It appears you're seeing what should happen when you use these shortcuts in a document library.

I tested all of the shortcuts on two different SharePoint Server 2016 Preview servers, running Office 2013 on one and Office 2016 Preview on the other. The shortcuts worked on both of these servers.

When I use the Alt + E - Edit shortcut I first selected a document in the document library and was then able to edit it. When I use the Alt + Y - Synchronization shortcut I was able to synchronize all documents with the location from which I originally uploaded the documents to the SharePoint document library.

I first selected a document in the document library for Alt +E and Alt +Y. I've tried from tabs BROWSE, FILES and LIBRARY. I've installed Office 2013 on SharePoint Server 2016 IT Preview.

When I use Alt + Y, it works now but not always. Sometimes, I see "Skip Ribbon Commands". If I do Alt + Y again (twice), that's ok.

When I use Alt + E, it's only Edit from IE11 that opens.

I thought that Alt + N will launch Word (default template), like when I click on FILES > New Document, but it doesn't. It opens window "Add a document" as when I click on button New. It's not different from Upload on my server.
