sharepoint adapter not showing in toolbox ssis 2013

Hi

I'm sure this question has been asked may times before but as if yet cant actually find an answer.

I ve installed the sharepoint adapters from codeplex and they show OK in SSIS 2008 however they do not show in SSIS 2013 and their is no SSIS component tab to pick it to add it to the toolbox.

Does anyone have a way how I can add it to the toolbox ...

Helppppp

Thanks

Hi Paul,

Download and Install the Sharepoint adapters fromhttp://sqlsrvintegrationsrv.codeplex.com/releases/view/17652

1. Open Business Intelligence Development Studio, open a package, and then click Choose Toolbox Items on the Tools menu.

2. In the Choose Toolbox Items dialog box, click the SSIS Data Flow Items tab, and Browse the SharePointListAdapters.dll from the Installed Location.

You cannot use SSIS 2008 components in a higher version of SSIS. Don't they have an SSIS 2012 or 2014 version (There is no SSIS 2013, only SSDT 2013)?

I just installed this on a machine that has SSIS 2012 using the VS 2012 IDE.

I suspect that what happened is that the components installed to the correct location for SSIS 2008, but may not install correctly for VS 2013.

Hi Paul,

After installing the SSIS SharePoint List Adapters on SQL Server 2012 Integration Services system, I can reproduce the issue. There is no SSIS Data Flow Items pane in the Choose Toolbox Items dialog box.

Please note that from SQL Server 2012, it will automatically detect new custom components, and add them to the toolbox. If SSDT is already open when you install the adapter, right click on the Toolbox and select the Refresh option. Those two components located under Common group in the SSIS Toolbox pone.

The following screenshot is for your reference:

Besides, if your SQL Server version is 2014, maybe we need waiting for the update. Because the current SharePoint List Adapter that extracting and loading SharePoint Data in SQL Server Integration Services supports x86/x64 systems using SQL 2005 / SQL 2008 / SQL 2008 R2/ SQL 2012. It doesnt support SQL Server 2014.

The workaround is to use OData Source component instead. For more details, please refer to the following thread:
