If the app pool is automatically stopping I would check the credientials it is using, and make sure that account is not locked out in AD.

I am able to login to server using that account.

if it has been locked i would not have been loged into server

How to check credientials?

Hi,

Would suggest to check the 'Enable 32-Bit applications' is set to False in Advanced settings of the application pool.

Also try to manually type in the Application pool identity again and check the issue.

Hope this helps :)

I mean look under the app pool in IIS to verify the credientials are the account you think they are.

I would also check what Reema said for the 32-bit mode.

I just checked and 32-bit-mode set to false.

and i also typed Application pool identity manually.

Both option didn't work

Still the same issue.

I cleaned the server and reinstaaled the sharepoint , still facing the same issue.

I am cluless here.

Thanks,

This error i am getting in Event viewr

Application pool SharePoint Central Administration v4 has been disabled. Windows Process Activation Service (WAS) encountered a failure when it started a worker process to serve the application pool.

Can i user same Service Account on various servers?

in this case i am using same service account as on other server which is not part of the same farm.

Thanks,

Hi Shaf,

Please add the service account into IIS_WPG group, then re-open SharePoint Central Administation.
