We are using sharepoint 2010 OOTB web part(Find by document id) to find documents in a record center.

am able to find documents using above web part which are uploadded in same site colletion/web application where the web part is added and feature is activated.

here is the my issue details:

Am Moving a document with a Document-ID to another web application(destination record center)(document id feature is activated)

 after moving a document with id(If a document or document set is moved to a different document library within a site, site collection or web application the document ID is retained/unique) using that id ,am not able to search in destination record center site

error:   No Documents with the ID xxxxxx-1-5 were found in the  site collection.

The moved document cant be found by its Document-ID - although it is existing in the document library. Why?

Is there any configurations required for this?

please help me on this.

Hi,

Have you done a incremental crawl after you move the documents in?
If the document cannot be found by ID then the search indexes will be queried to see if the match can be found, so if you just move your documents in recently, please do a incremental crawl before you can search documents via document ID.

I have done Incremental crawl and tried again by document ID,but no luck.

after that,have done Full crawl too ,but same result(No Documents with the ID xxxxxx-1-5 were found in the  site collection)

We are moving documents from one web(Source site) application to another(Destination site) web app,after moving the document,document id will remain same,but still am not able to get the document by Document ID

After moving the Document ID is: eSpW145-25-22,but In site collection the Document ID web part  it is showing  Ex: Rchome-1-1, I guess this might be an issue. plz help me on this ASAP.
