Create a unit monitor it can be simple threshold or consecutive samples over threshold monitor. Select the management pack name and click next. Provide the name, select target values (Select Windows computer if you need to apply this monitor for all windows servers) and click next. In the performace object window, click select button and select processor under object. Under "Select counter from list" space, select % priviledged time. and click ok Specify the interval ( ie, the frequency of which the monitor should check or run) and click next. Provide the thresholod value and click next. On configure alerts, check the box for "Generate Alerts for this monitor" and finally click create. If you have imported windows management pack, the processor monitoring monitor should be there. Thanks, Sarav Thanks, Sarav

Hi CPU usage is monitored "out of the box" with the windows server core operating system management packs. The default is set to check every 2 minutes. It alerts you if you are over 95% for 3 samples but these values can be changed via overrides. To generate an alert, the disk queue length threshold also has to be breached but you can set this to zero (again via an override) if you want to ignore the disk queue.
