However, i want to fix a room for a default month view which i am unable to do because it is taking the user name as the default.

don't understand your question, you want to change the field that is displayed on the calendar view?

Sounds like you want to set the web part for the calendar to show a specific room in the month view. Perhaps you would even have a number of web parts on a page for the calendar, each of them with a different room showing.To do this, simply edit the web part on the page and filter the web part by the room field, so it shows only entries for that room. Make sure you change the web part title to reflect this as well.
