secondary over VPN

Dear all, we have a hierarchy with one primary site. It manages 4000 clients. There is a need to support 1500 clients at a new location and initially the new location will be connected via VPN on a temporary basis. We plan to setup a secondary site at the new location. Plan is to setup VPN temporarily till better connectivity is in place in future. Since VPN is setup only for SCCM 2012 ,are there any hard requirements for setting up secondary site?  Can we calculate the minimum VPN link speed  or bandwidth  needed so that we can support the 1500 client without any performance issues? Will appreciate if you can share any other good to know things in this scenario. thank you!

There is not enough detail here for anyone to help you, at best someone to guess at a number of the answers...

What are you planning on doing with respect to applications, packages, OSD, SU, inventory, etc.?

What are your SLAs?

In a nut shell, limited DP deployment during the day, send them at night. Allow only 1 DP deployment at a time to the VPN DP.

Thank you Garth, yes, we plan to support all services from SCCM 2012 at the new location including operating system deployment, application deployment , software updates etc... We plan to pre-stage content once to the site  and then later on would like to send content normally...  The SLA is under discussion and is not defined at this moment.
