searching inside content
hi in a portal site, there're many objects including lists, documents, etc. i like to know what's the best method to setup a search within contents of a site or the whole portal? what are the steps for founding such an ability and how to use it? thx

Hi, Sharepoint search works only for scope. There are some default scopes like: All Site, Sub site name, people search etc. If you want to search within a particular list / library then create a custom scope for it. It will require some configuration in central admin-->Shared Services.
