Hi Gerry,

My backup is working fine, but I would like to understand why I am getting this error.  The only issue I get with the backup is every few weeks it fails, but if I delete the previous backup and re-run it works again.  I might look at using the afterbackup.bat to move the file to alternative location, where it can then be sent to tape.

I had seen the other post, which is similar.  It looks like this person could not get a backup but solved it by starting the remote registry service, but this is already started on both my SQL servers in the cluster.

It would be good to know why this error is logged.

Hi Garth,

Yes managed to resolve this issue by moving to using SQL backups instead of using the inbuilt SCCM 2012 backup task.  Thanks for checking.

Good morning Garth,

I have encountered the same issue and not finding a solution.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Using a separate sql backup does not resolve the issue it is a work around..

Cheers

Ray
