sccm 2007 r3 - deployment
hello, i will deploy sccm 2007 r3 for software updates principally. i will have 800 clients i will deploy only one server how many disk particions i will need? 3? one for SO another for SCCM and SQL another for the updates(i will download updates locally and then deploy them) its ok what im doing? thankss

Partitions don't matter as they are simply logical separations of drive space which provide little to no value. The reason to separate things is for performance and to that end you need separate *physical* drive sets. For a small environment like that, you don't really need much; however, yes I would recommend three separate drive sets (*not* paritions): - 1 for the OS and SQL install - 1 for the SQL DB and ConfigMgr install - 1 for source files, the DP, and other misc use Note that with ConfigMgr, you *must* download updates locally to deploy them -- there is no choice.
