Hi, I'm seeing the following which is weird to me THROUGH THE GUI When I try to edit an object with the same data, nothing happens and therefore no requests THROUGH THE COMMAND LINE USING A POWERSHELL (Quest PowerShell CMDlets) When I try to edit the same object with the data, it processes the data as if it has changed and it creates a request object (this occured with datetime attribute, e.g. EmployeeStartDate, and reference attribute, e.g. Manager. however it does not occur with a string attribute, e.g. Description). What I'm trying to understand is WHY the difference? ANyone knows or understands? groet, Jorge

Both are FIM clients that call the FIM web service. I'd guess that the FIM Portal tries to optimize by not sending what it perceives to be useless requests, where the Cmdlets assume you want what you want.
