report using wrong font
Lets see if I can explain this properly. We are creating our reports in VS 2005 and using the .net 3.5 framework with vscredist_x86 and report viewer to generate the rdl's via a standalone program. In the past we have been able to generate the report with garamond premier pro font. We got in two laptops, that has windows 7 installed, one of them generates the report like it suppose to while the other generates the report without using the defined font. Both machines do not have this font installed but yet one uses it and the other doesn't. I have tried going through each of the laptops looking for differences and am not 100% sure of where the font is even being stored. I guess my question would be - how does reporting services create the report and where does it pull the fonts that it uses? With the three pieces I know I install to create the reports I figure one of them MUST be the one that contains the font. At first I thought it was the net framework, but the laptops have the same framework installed and same version, then I thought it was the vcredist_x86 - but asking about that on another forum they said that the redistributable doesn't contain any fonts. The report Viewer should just be a viewer - not a creator. I have noticed that there is a pdfforge or pdfcreator the one that works has an older version. If you have any avenues that I can try I would appreciate it. Thanks.fellobo

Fellobo, Generally a font is required to be installed if you want to display your report with that font. May you re-check your computer which can correctly display your report with that font to see if the font had been installed? You can directly visit the folder %windir%\fonts to check it.
