When users generate reports on a sql server 2008 r2 database using report builder 3.0, I thought .rdl files would be generated. However I can not find the .rdl files I am looking for. Thus can you tell me what kind of files are generated by users that create their reports directly on the report server using report builder 3.0? Where would these files be located at?

Hi There It depends on what you have publishing to the report server it could be a Report Parts (.rsc) file and a report definition (.rdl) file.. Report parts are specific report items of a report, so it cannot be viewed like a report. We can create and store Report Parts on a report server and include them in other reports.
