remove kb974571
I'd like to add a task to my task sequence to uninstall kb974571 from the clients before I can capture userstate. It was easy to uninstall a hotfix prior to Vista. I can no longer find the uninstall key for hotfixes in the registry. I'm sure others have
had this problem before. Is there a way to remove the installed hotfix other than doing to manually?

Hi,
which OS? Online or offline?
Online:
For Vista/2008, you will need to use pkgmgr
For Win7/2008R2, you will need to use wusa
Offline:
dism
Despite the information provided in many KBarticles, wusa on Win7/2008R2 *does* permit uninstallation.
e.g. on Win7:
wusa /uninstall /kb:974571 /quiet /norestart
Although, I'm not sure why you'd uninstall 974571. You're going to need to address the flaw at some stage, or you'll be avoiding OS ServicePacks for ever...

Why not run certfix from 977203 on the system before you run the task sequence and install the hotfix from either 977203 or 977384 on newly deployed systems?Jason | http://blog.configmgrftw.com | Twitter @JasonSandys

Hi rumba68,
For kb974571 or sp1 for windows 7 client with USMT "Failed to import the client certificate store (0x80092024) OSDSMPClient" issue, microsoft has released kb977203 to fix it.
Read KB 977303 and this technet blog:
