re-advertise Updates
Hello how can you readvertise Microsoft updates to a collection? Some machines havent received the package yet, I used to be able to re advertise in 2003. Is this something that can be done? Thanks I am Supporting WP7 but please keep improving it MS.

There is no need to re-advertise , If deployment management is already advertise the collection please run the scan agent cycle once scan its complete machines which havent recieved the update will recieve those. you can use right click tool to run scan agent cycle on collection. or you can wait untill scheduled cycle.

Hi, About re-advertising Nick give you the best answer. In addition, from your posted screenshot I found your selected update deployment had reached the deadline and no longer available for target clients. So, I think the first thing is to check the updatesdeployment.log on the client to find out why the client was not patched before deadline (about 9 days). Also your update deployment Icon is a grey icon, as Microsoft suggested you should replace expired updates in this deployment when possible. Expired software updates that have been deployed continue to work and will continue to be tracked for software update compliance. Expired software updates are considered "not required" for reporting purposes. Here is the reference: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb632404.aspx If you want this deployment available for target clients, change the deadline. Also set "Ignore maintenance windows and install immediately at deadline" setting. Thanks
