problem with linked reports
I have a problem with a dashboard that I made. In this dasboard, it's possible to drill trough the values of some tables on it. When I use the preview function in my report, It works fine, and when it's deployed into the report manager, it doesn't work anymore. Both the parent report and the drill trough report are deployed to the report manager, but someting seems to go wrong. I hope to get it working the way it is set up now, instead of using the "Go to URL" functionality. Does anyone have an idea of what could be causing this? thanks

Hi Christian, Thanks for your post. According to your description, I guess you take use of the dashboards feature to load report in sharepoint site. If I misunderstand, please not hesitate to correct. The error message show us that, the system can’t find the report ‘10123 - OperationsDetailed' below the relative path Reports/Dashboard/, so to better understand your issue, please help me to clarify the questions below: Have you publish both the top-level report and sub-level report to the sharepoint Reports site? Thanks, Bill Lu Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help and unmark them if they provide no help.

Dear Bill Lu, Thanks for your reply. Yes, both the parent report and the child report are published to the report manager. (I'm not using sharepoint, I'm using the report manager) Both reports are also available and working: - if you open the parent report, that works. - if you open the child report, and enter the parameter values manually, that works to. - and if you drill trought the parent report to the child report in visual studio, that works also, the only thing that doesn't work is the drilling trough in the report manager. kind regards,

Hi Christian.boeur, Thanks for your post. To better understand your issue, could you provide me more information about how you design the dashboard in report manager? Moreover, according to the error message you post above, it seems that the system can find the report item ‘10123 – OperationsDetailed’ in the Dashboard directory '/Peleman Industries Inc/Operation – General administration Reports/Dashboard’, haven’t you check about it? Thanks, Bill Lu Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help and unmark them if they provide no help.

Hi Bill Lu, Thanks for your answer. Both reports are available in the report manager and working in the report manager. It's only when I call the child report by clicking trough in the parent report that it doesn't work. What would you like to know about the report, it's a pretty big one... kind regards, Christian

Hi christian.boeur, Thanks for your feedback. You said all the main report and subreport were published to report server successfully, and you had verified the reprot item ’ 10123 – OperationsDetailed’ as the error message mentioned path string, and they were all normal, this is so incredible. As you said the dashboard report was a big and complex report, is it the actual reason? I have no idea. So I would suggest you to create a simple thrill thru report to verify whether it works fine in report manager, please have a try. If you have anything new discovery, please feel free to feedback to me. Thanks, Bill Lu Please remember to mark the replies as answers if they help and unmark them if they provide no help.
