please correct myself if i want to capture image windows/8.1 via MDT 2013 1) windows 7/8.1 ready with installed application, software updates 2) import OS windows 7/8.1 in MDT 2013 3)create task sequence sysprep and capture method capture image

please let me know above setps are correct? again windows7/8.1 needs to work-group and administrator account enabled with empty password and WINPE x86 and X64 needs to be selected?

difference between sysprep and capture method and standard client task sequence is capturing existing image and deploy OS with application etc again capture i am correct?

You can follow this build and capture the image

using SCCM 2012 in a LAB - Part 7. Build and Capture Windows 7 X64

I don't think there is a big difference between the two method you referred. You can run sysprep to remove unique identifier, run DISM to capture image. With SCCM, you just follow the wizard. The difference is you do it manually or automatically.
