permission expiration
Hey all, I had a quick question about permissions in WSS 3.0. I was wondering if there was a way to set item level permissions to expire automatically without me having to go in after a while and remove the permissions. Se what I want to accomplish is to send out a link to download an item. Then, give that user name and password permission to only view/download that one item. But, then after a few days I want to make that item no longer available for that user (i.e. remove the permissions from the item). Any info would be great! Thanks

You can create a custom sharepoint timer Job with the logic you need to accomplish this.

Thanks for your reply. however, I have not worked with these before. Is there a good link that you know of for a good guide for me to reference?
