open office document as a webpage
Hi,
I want my user able to open Office Document as a web Page (Just for view) without installing microsoft office programs in their PC, the same as Exchange Server. If any body know any way, plz help me!

In SharePoint 2010 you can use Office Web Apps to let users open Office client application files in the browser (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote).

I feel if we disable Client Integration from the Central Administration, it should open up the office documents in Browser itself. just like an InfoPath form opens up in browser.
By default, if your application is using Windows Authentication, it is enabled with client integration (correct me if I am wrong). But if it is FBA it would not work for client applications.BR, PM

Yes, I am talking about SharePoint 2007 itself.
