Hi I am new to Identity Management, i am trying it to install in my company test environment. i followed Installtion Guide from Micosoft, but after installtion i tried to give Permission using stsadm.exe i got 'Access Denied' so i did it via local Administrator login and i got success. but now when i try to login using my domain credentials it gives me error 'An Unexpected error as occured' whereas when i use local administrator login i ca nsuccesfully login. I want to know if this will happen then how would normal user will be able to login to thier protal. please help for this as i tried to give full permission in portal to my admin Credential but still no sucess.

You need to populate the Person objects in the prtoal with the AD Account name and Domain name for each user.Also, make sure that under Site Settings, you have granted Authenticated Users contribute permissions.EricEric

Hey, I rebuild my server and did exactly what you asked me. this time i did using my Domain Credentials so now only my credentials areworking to login to the protal. Althought i had added "NT AUTHORITY\authenticated users" also created a security group in AD and aded all users so that all can get equal rights. bnut still no success.Please help me out of this.Mohit Goyal

So in the portal, each user account has their sAMAccountName in the AccountName field and the NetBIOS Domain in the Domain field?User: Northamerica\TestAcct => AccountName = TestAcct and Domain = NorthAmerica.When you are logged on to the Identiity Management Site, in the upper-right, select Site Actions,Site Settings, and then Advanced Permission. Thank you i can now get other users login also. the issue was AD and ILM is not in sync with each other. As i created a new user in ILM database, i got logged in with that account.Mohit Goyal
