Dear friends,

We have created multiple videos and we want to use one discussion board for all of them. The idea is that we post the video and below we add the discussion board filtered by that discussion board. We have added one metadata field which refers to the video and we have filtered the view of that discusson board based on that field. The problem of this apporoach is that evrybody that posts a comment must fill that field, so it is not a good idea. Do you know how can we solve in a better way ?

Hi Robert,

As I understand, you want a discussion board for all videos in SharePoint 2013.

If you do not want everybody to fill metadata field, when adding the metadata column, you could select option no in the Require that this column contains information: section. And you also could set the default value for that filed, then users wont fill that field always.
