new bie! Access to built in webparts
Hello, I am trying to add webparts from my webpart list and I am not able to view the built in webparts such as the image webpart and content editor webpart... I have to place a logo and some welcome statement along with it...I was thinking about using an image webpart for the logo and a content editor webpart for typing the welcome statements..Anything else I could apart from using webpart...? 2) My second question is , is there a way in sharepoint where contents of a word document could be converted into a html web part? Thank you!

Hi, Make sure that you have owner right in your site collection and if you are trying to add it in sub site then you have to have same right in sub site as well. Just go to site permission and check your name in owner group. >2) Check this MSDN article for document conversion http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint-server-help/convert-a-word-document-to-a-web-page-HA010163780.aspx Hope it could help Cheers, Hemendra-MCTS "Yesterday is just a memory,Tomorrow we may never see"

Hi Info_JS Welcome to the forums. Just to add to what Hemendra has mentioned: - Do you know how to check what features are activated? The web parts you've mentioned should be attached to the SharePoint Server Standard Site Features. There is a document conversion process within SHarePoint 2010. As you've asked in a pre-2010 forum, can you advise what version of the platform you're using?Steven Andrews | SharePoint Professional | http://www.twitter.com/backpackerd00d | https://baron72.wordpress.com/
