Hi,

i have a SCCM 2012 Primary Site (5.00.7958.1000 7958) and want to deploy another DP on a Windows Server 2012 in a subdomain (Domain is xxx.yyy.corp, Submain is dm.xxx.yyy.corp).

Now i get these errors in distmgr.log

CWmi::Connect() failed to connect to \\DP-name.dm.xxx.yyy.corp\root\CIMv2. Error = 0x800706BA

DPConnection::ConnectWMI() - Failed to connect to  DP-name.DM.xxx.yyy.corp.

Failed to install DP files on the remote DP. Error code = 1722

previously i have done:

- primary site computer account is in local admin group

- windows firewall disabled on both computers

- remote diff compression installed

- IIS installed (ISAPI, Windows Authentication, IIS6 Metabase comp, IIS6 WMI Compatibility)

- Windows Authentication in IIS enabled, WebDAV enabled

-mofcomp.exe smsdpprov.mof

Any help?

This is probably not the issue, but you should disable WebDAV as it's not required and *could* cause issues.

Have you manually tried to connect to WMI on the target server using the local Ssytem account of the Primary Site server on the primary site server?

WebDAV is now disabled.

WMI does not work. If i use wmimgmt.msc on the primary site computer and connect to the DP in the subdomain i get "Failed to connect to \\dp--name.dm.xxx.yyy.corp because Win32: The RPC server is unavailable

On the DP, can you please enable all RPC-related services? Also enable file sharing (normally, I simply create any share using File Explorer, and that will enable all the ports and services needed by file sharing).

RPC is already started (Automatic). I just startet RPC Locater and created a file share but nothing changed

"The RPC server is unavailable" sounds more like a networking issue. Is there a network firewall or other network filtering device between the servers?
