need ideas on new backup of SBS 2011

We currently have a Windows Storage Server 2003 R2 backing up our SBS 2011 with DFS. As Server 2003 is at end of life support we are looking at options to replace Windows Storage Server 2003. What are the options Server 2012, or a hybrid cloud?

What do you think would be the best way to backup the SBS 2011 for data recovery and if the SBS 2011 server dies?

Hi,

Built-in backup function on SBS 2011 would be a good chose for backup. It's designed to give the administrator no choice but to configure a recurring backup job that will perform a full backup of all critical volumes that is Bare Metal Recovery capable. It allows you to select any additional data drives that you wish to include in the job. Reference the link below for Introducing the Small Business Server 2011 Backup Wizard:

And, reference link below for How to Perform a Bare Metal Restore on Small Business Server 2008(also applied to SBS 2011):

If you want to replace Windows Server 2003, as a Microsoft supporter, I would recommend you to use Windows Server 2012/2012 R2. Reference link below for new and update function about File and Storage Services server role in Windows Server 2012 R2/2012:
