my new user profile field dont get information from active directory
Hi I add new property to user profiles property of my SSP and set it to recieve its information from description field of active directory(which contain employee ID).we have aroud 350 users and around 60 users field recieve information correctly and have the employee ID in new field but the others field remain empty. I try these solutions: stsadm -o sync -listolddatabases stsadm -o sync -deleteolddatabases stsadm -o sync stsadm -o sync -synctiming M:5 but still have problem.any idea? Thanks in advance

NEVER post the same question twice to two forums. It wastes everyone's time. This post was moved to the admin forum. There was no need at all to post a second copy to General an hour later. (I'm deleting that duplicate) Moderator2010 Books: SPF 2010; SPS 2010; SPD 2010; InfoPath 2010; Workflow etc. 2007 Books: WSS 3.0; MOSS 2007; SPD 2007; InfoPath 2007; PerformancePoint; SSRS; Workflow Both lists also include books in French; German; Spanish with even more languages in the 2007 list.

Did you mean you have run a full import and most of the user do not have the field updated in SSP? Could you please confirm with your AD administrator to see if all the users have information on this property? I checked with our AD administrator and all the users have the information and the same setting.I have done full import several times but still the "description" field of users remain empty. I also check the import log there is an error "There is no such object on the server. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80072030)"for about half of users!
