multiple approvers in one level and move to step 2

Hello Experts,

I'm wondering if anyone can help me out. I want to create an approval workflow, however there are two fundamental questions that I can't seem to be able to wrap my head around. If I want to add multiple approvers at one step but have the workflow continue to move foward after anyone in that step approve, how would I go about doing that? Right now it appears that if you have multiple approvers in one step they all have to approve before we continue to move the workflow foward. I would like to make it so that if anyone in that step approves  the workflow moves to the next step.

Question #2 - How do I tell the workflow once step 1 is approved move to step 2. I know it sounds elementary but I'm stuck trying to figuere out, how to accomplish it.

I have tried to navigate to the link below to learn how to get these sort of tasks completed but all the links are dead now and their are not redirects. Any help you guys can offer me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the reply but neither of those links explain how to move the workflow forward if any of the people on the task assigned click approved?. Do you have any Idea on how to accomplish that. In other words. I have  start Approval action and the assignment is made to multiple people. Is there anyway to tell workflow if any of this people have clicked approve then continue to step two?

Thanks a bunch for your response.

Hi miguel,

I recommend to modify the completion condition for the Start Approval Process action in workflow to make the process completes when any one approves the task and the workflow moves to the step 2.

Please click Approval in the action Start Approval Process, and then click Change the completion conditions for this task process under Customization.

After that, please edit the steps as the image below shows and then republish the workflow to SharePoint:

Please note that, if any one approves the task, the other tasks will be cancelled as the task process is ended.

In addition, what did you mean by tell the workflow once step 1 is approved move to step 2?

If you want the workflow run step 2 if outcome of the approval process is approved, then you can use If condition as the image below shows:

Thanks,

Victoria
