mp_statusreceiver directory on WSUS is 80 GB???
I cannot figure out what is causing the D:\SMS_CCM\ServiceData\Messaging\OutgoingQueues\mp_statusreceiver directory on the WSUS server to completely fill up with files. This directory is on a 100 GB partition and the drive is completely full now. 0 bytes remaining.

UPDATE: I finally got the directory to open in Explorer (took a while since there is 1.4 million files) and it is full of .que and .msg files. The timestamps on the files do not go all the way back to the time that SCCM was setup so I am guessing it is something I did or something that is initiated when SP1 for SCCM was installed. If anyone has any information on what produces these message queues, I would appreciate it.

Hi Greg Did you ever figure out how to fix this? I've just done an SP1 upgrade on one of my secondary sites and I'm getting the same issue. Do you know if it's possible to just stop the services and delete these files? Regards John

I've never heard of that before. Is your software update point a remote site system? If so, can you verify that it is still a member of the SMS_SiteSystemToSiteServerConnection group on the site server?

No. my software update point is not a remote site system.

Then that blows my theory, I was going to have you validate that the remote computer was a member of the SMS_SiteSystemToSiteServerConnection group. But that should not be applicable if the two are co-located. I emailed dev on this yesterday but have not received a response yet. When I do, I'll post the response.

I had this on the incomming folder once, files just kept on piling up and not beeing processed by ConfigMgr.... going through the logs I discovered it could not move two files, and that keept it from processing the others. What I had to do was delete these files, and the files got eaten up by ConfigMgr and all was well again.

On one of my secondary site I have the exact problem. TheC:\Windows\system32\CCM\ServiceData\Messaging\OutgoingQueues\mp_statusreceiver folder is filled with .que and .msg files. I can see the files being processed but they keep appearing and fill up the hard disk in 3 days.there is no issues if I delete the files.Any idea of what could be happening? All other components seems to be fine.ThanksSanjay

You can check if you have any traces of old Management point installed on the secondary site server or on the machine where youare getting the .msg and .que files generated. Uninstall MP either by running ccmclean /mp or through windows cleanup utility. Regards Manish

How did you solve this issue? I uninstalled a secondary site server from the C drive and attempted to reinstall it on the D drive. I now have the C:\Windows\SysWOW64\CCM\ServiceData\Messaging\OutgoingQueues\mp_statusreceiver at 30 GB which has the C drive maxed out. And the D drive is wide open 155 GB of space. And the new secondary site is "still pending". Did you just delete the contents of the folder and move on or did you do a Preinst /delsite on the server where the uninstalled secondard site was housed? Your help is appreciated...

You will need to uninstall the ConfigMgr client too, then make sure that the client installs on D:\ .http://www.enhansoft.com/
