Hi Everyone, We have a requirement where there is a website running making use of 3 front ends and a database server(SQL Server 2005) on windows server 2003. We are planning to move this site to server 2008 with SQL server 2008. The main challenge is that this is an Internet site and we should make sure that there is no downtime while moving this site. The only real way that you can achieve this, to my mind is a side by side database detach. The plus point is that you'll be able to set the curret installation to read only, thus meeting your availability criteria.
