mailbox full

Does anyone know if the mailbox full on a user's outlook 2010 will go away on it's own after increasing the user's mailbox size. They are able to send and receive email, but the error still shows. Upon using the shell to check the user's mailbox size it states that they are under the limit. I have read numerous other entries about how they took off cache mode and deleted the ost. Is there something that I am missing or is that the only step to get rid of the display?

The only thing set is the mailbox size. I did a check through the EMS and it showed that the user was below the limit. They are able to send and receive. i adjusted the size of the mailbox for the user. Their mailbox was disabled. The user is able to send and receive email normally but has that warning about how they may not be able to send or receive email. I know that changes made to the mailbox can take two hours because of active directory replication with exchange, but this is past the time limit. I had the user restart their computer and the same thing still comes up. When they access OWA there is no issue. When taking it off of cache mode, the warning goes away. I don't want to have to delete the .ost and re-enable cache mode. I was wondering if there is another way to have outlook 2010 reflect the change?

If Possible

Try Switching the outlook to Online mode then back to cach mode.

Yeah it took a while but it finally went away. Thanks for your help. I had to take it out of cache mode for over 10 minutes, than it went away.

I'm having a similar problem except that I'm not an IT guy and my mailbox says FULL and cannot send any emails. I've deleted some 3 years worth of emails and sent to disc. Is the answer to take it out of cache mode to online mode- how do I do that?
