Am getting the error after configuring the BCS in SP 2013. I performed all the steps for configuring ECT and secure store service and BCS and external list.
Has anyone faced the same issue.
help is appreciated!

Hi,
As I understand, you get the error after configuring the Business Data Connectivity Service in SharePoint 2013.
You could check the details about the error in the ULS Log. (The path of ULS log: C:\Program files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\15\LOGS).
You could do IIS reset to check if it can work.
And you could include your DOMAIN\username when specifying an AD account in the credentials for your Secure Store Target Application. For more detailed information, you could refer to the article below.
The article below is about BCS External List Error The username returned by the Secure Store Provider is not of the form Domain\user. It also can work in SharePoint 2013.
