I am guessing at the content of your question but the minimum RAM requirement for Windows PE is 512 MB so you would need to allocate at least this amount of RAM to your virtual machine. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd744533(WS.10).aspx

ConfigMgr doesn't support using PE 1.1 (which is the version based on XP). ConfigMgr Rtm shipped with boot images based on PE 2.0. SP1 upgraded these to 2.1 and SP2 upgraded them to 3.0. Using downlevel PE images is not supported (and doesn't work). To my knowledge, the minimum ram requirement for PE 3.0 is 384 MB though although there are times you need more during a task sequence. Is there a specific reason you need to support less?Jason | http://myitforum.com/cs2/blogs/jsandys | Twitter @JasonSandys
