Hi, I have a problem copying a list from one sharepoint portal to another. What i do is described in this acticle: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepointtechnology/HA011545621033.aspx I export one simple list to a spreadsheet and try to create a list on another server with this spreadsheet. When i do this, Sharepoint gives me : System error %H80004005 (-2147467259) "out of memory" and starts a visual basic debugger that opens the excel sheet. what am i doing wrong here?

I've never gotten around that issue. I always suspected some combination of the version of office you are using and the patch level of SharePoint. A work around is to save the list as a template and copy it that way. Here is a good link on how to do it that way instead.

But here is another way to achieve your need (through Microsoft office access 2007): 1) Create an access database 2) Import the data from your source site to the new database 3) Export the data from the new database to your destination site.
