Here you mentioned Subscription, do you mean Standard Subscriptionor Data-Driven Subscription? If it is Standard Subscription, you could select any availble parameter value in the drop-down list on the subscription page at your will. If it is Data-Driven Subscription, you could click the drop-down list button on the subscription page , then type in the value you want for the parameter as default value.
