I have a MOSS 2007 installed on windows server 2003 32 bit which is single serverr installation, database is also on the same machine. We need to migrate this to new MOSS 2007 64 bit instllation on windows server 2008. I have already installed MOSS 2007 on window server and it is up and running. Nikhil... Are there any custom developed solutions/features/third party applications in your MOSS environment? Some advise.. 1. Back up back up back up and back up the current farm and db's and move a copy to secure location. Sorry I can't say that enough... 2. Make sure you have the same verison (hot fix level of SharePoint) http://www.mindsharpblogs.com/penny/articles/481.aspx 3. Review, plan and double check... http://bobfox.securespsite.com/FoxBlog/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?ID=64 Here are a few links to helo out http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd622865(office.12).aspx#BKMK_MIGRATE White Paper - http://www.combined-knowledge.com/Downloads%202007.htmKris Wagner, MCITP, MCTS Twitter @sharepointkris Blog: http://www.sharepointkris.com/blog
