how to insert a button on a page which changes the field value in a list

Hi,

I need to send a workflow email to the manager giving him an option to approve/reject the ongoing process. Now i want to make it such a way that, manager is redirected to some page, where he will see two button, Approve and Reject. On click of any of them, the status field in sharepoint list should change accordingly.

Please suggest how can i implement this.

Many thanks.

The default Approval Workflow comes with this option. Just enable that. Or if you want a simple solution with just 2 buttons on a page with some details of the list item then add content query web part on a page and write javascript client object model. Which takes 10-15 minutes of time to implement that.
