You don't unless you want to use a Script destination and handle the excel object model directly. SSIS is an ETL tool not a reporting tool, it doesn't concern itself with display properties.Chuck

There is a template in excel which needs to be exported in that specific format. When data gets exported, first column has arial font while the rest has garamond fond. how can i actually export data in one single font?

Have you tried generating your Excel report via SSRS?

If you want to do anything with the fonts or formatting you will need to do 1 of 2 things.
1) Use a script transform destination to handle all of the excel interaction (loading the rows and formatting the columns)
2) Use a standard excel destination to load the data and then use a script task after the dataflow task to change the formatting of the excel file using the excel object model.Chuck

If you open up excel manually on your ssis machine and create a new workbook, does the same thing happen? If so then someone probabally changed the default excel template.

Open excel from the start menu. If you are not currently logged onto machine you are executing the ssis packages on then remote desktop into it.Chuck

Then someone changed the default template - change it back.

Hi penroy,
You can format the excel file in Script Task, for more details about it, please see:
